Bottomless and Common Sense Coffee are rethinking coffee subscriptions to make sure coffee arrives when it’s needed most.
We’ve all been there where we have a subscription to something, and it just never seems to arrive at the right time. Sometimes you get it too early (which isn’t horrible), while other times, you are scratching your head wondering why your stuff isn’t at your house yet. 🤬 <- We’ve been there too.
We’ve grown accustomed to getting things quickly and right when we need them. Luckily technology and innovation helped make this possible with better shipping networks and supply chains. It’s now possible to order something online and have it at your door a few hours later. Isn’t that amazing? Twenty years ago, we probably never thought that we would be where we are today. Regular package shipments are starting to feel like ordering pizzas with how quickly they get delivered.
Today, we’d like to talk about the future of subscriptions, and in particular, coffee subscriptions. We all love coffee, right (if you don’t, you probably do, but just don’t know it yet! 😜)? We’re excited to partner with the Seattle-based Bottomless to implement the future of coffee subscriptions. Bottomless thought of a genius way to change the perspective on subscriptions. They got sick of getting shipments at the wrong time and set out to solve the problem. Let’s take a look at how the service works!
The service is so simple that they broke it down into three steps.

Step 1 — Build a Custom Coffee Rotation 🔄
The first thing we should mention is that Bottomless has a lot of options. In addition to getting Common Sense Coffee, you can also choose from more than 300 coffees from around the country. Their site has plenty of filters where you can search by bag size, roaster location, tasting notes, and more! The possibilities are truly endless.
They have recommended rotations to get you started if you’re not sure what to get. Try them all, or maybe start the Bottomless Challenge! Where you try every coffee available. It would probably take a long time unless you drink a lot of coffee like us! 😂 But you’d probably make it on the Bottomless wall of fame (if that’s a thing)!
Step 2 — Set up Your Bottomless Wifi Scale ⚖️
Setting up the scale is super easy. It will arrive separately from your coffee, so you’ll have plenty of time to charge it before the first bag comes. It’s a plug-and-play device. All you have to do is charge it when it first arrives, then simply put your coffee on it when it comes. Bottomless literally automates the boring parts of getting coffee. Now you don’t have to worry about going to the store, picking coffee, and driving home. Bottomless just lets you enjoy freshly roasted coffee. There aren’t many things in life this easy, but we’re glad it has to do with coffee!
Step 3 — Watch the Coffee Roll In 📦
Remember from above where we mentioned Bottomless has over 300 coffees available on their website? This is the step where you just wait for one of those 300 coffees to show up on your doorstep. Easy stuff, right?
Their team built a really nice feature into the service that sends you a reminder text message right before the order ships out so you can have the peace of mind that your coffee will arrive on time! You’ll also be able to delay the shipment if you just happen to find another bag of coffee in your pantry. They’ll simply send you another message when the next order is about to ship. We almost forgot to mention that you don’t have to keep your coffee in the bag that arrives at your door. You’re able to put your coffee in any container you want.
